I love Amtrak’s new Newport News station. It’s been a while since I’ve been in a train station, but this one isn’t any different, except the restrooms were better.
The toilet seats were a bit of a joke. I didn’t notice until I was halfway through, but the ones in the restrooms are all the same.
In the end, Amtrak Newport News is the best station in America. You can tell because it has a great sound system. In fact, I thought it sounded like the theme song to the new Star Trek series. The design of the station is also really cool, as its part of the new “downtown” revitalization of Newport News. I love the old train station and everything about it, but this station is something special.
I love how the station looks out over downtown Newport News, and I love that Amtrak is bringing this station back, but there is something I don’t like about it. It is a bit too similar to the former station. It looks like the original Amtrak station from the 1970s, which is a lot like the design that Amtrak plans on bringing back. I just can’t get past the similarities and that I feel like this is a great idea.
