Josie Bates is an award winning photographer from the UK. She was inspired to take pictures of her wedding day by seeing it in person. It was her first time to photograph an event for a large group so it was a lot of “take a deep breath, it’s happening” moments.
The photos she took of her bridal portraits were the ones she was most proud of. She says the ones of her and her bridesmaids were most of all. The same is true of her wedding day.
The photos show that Josie is a very strong visual communicator. She even had a few that were so clear that you could make out the names of her bridesmaids. Josie says that it really helps her to explain what is happening to her brides in a way that is not too difficult to understand.
I’ve been trying to communicate with my brides for the past couple of years. We’ve had our ups and downs but Josie’s bridesmaids were always there for us and I’m sure she would have been proud of the photos we took.
It’s not just the photos. Josie’s bridesmaids are all amazing. From the maid of honor, the flower girl, the ring bearer, Josie’s bridesmaids are amazing. They’re all unique and original, and one of the reasons I think Josie looks so lovely is that they all have such personality.

Josie Bate married her fiancé just over a year ago, but she’s already feeling the love and attention her wedding has brought her. The bride’s dress was the perfect fit, and her makeup looks as good as ever. The bridesmaids wore the most beautiful gowns, and they were dressed to perfection. She was absolutely stunning. Well, this is a very timely post for me. I just went to my local library and picked up Josie’s new book. I was really excited to discover just how much she is loved by so many, and her new book has me more interested than ever. She has so much to say about happiness and life and relationships and her life and all of it.
