After you’ve finished the first two hours of your time on Deathloop, you’re probably wondering what you’re doing. You’ve got nothing to do. But you can finally get some good news out of it.
The new Deathloop site has a section called Medical Research, dedicated to news about medical science and discoveries. Each day, a news article will be posted on the site telling about one of the latest medical research projects. The articles are actually quite interesting. For example, Dr. Anthony Atala (a biologist at UCI) uses an experimental drug named J-Vac to help people with severe spinal cord injuries walk again.
Atala has also used a drug called Optune to help patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), an incurable neurodegenerative disease that kills a person in three to five years. It’s the first drug used in the treatment of ALS, and it helps by improving the quality of life for patients.
This is great news. I really hope that these drugs get approved for use in the treatment of ALS, because I’ve been through a very long period of feeling that I couldn’t get through my day, and I’ve only had two months to turn my life around.
This is very encouraging news. However, the development of this drug has been slow, and I would hope this drug could have been approved much earlier if it had been available for treatment. The main problem with this drug is that it has very short half-lives. Its currently only approved for use on people with ALS, but it’s already been approved for the treatment of a few other neurodegenerative diseases (including Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis).
The key issue here is that this drug may have to be tested on patients before we know anything about how long they will be able to live, though. It would also be great if it had a longer half-life, so that this drug could be used prior to the onset of symptoms.

One of the reasons why I’m interested in the new movie is that the first film is actually being told to people by the director, and the first movie that we can see is about a guy who is at a birthday party with his fiancée. So while I don’t have any idea what’s going on with this movie, it’s still a pretty neat idea.
This is what I was thinking when I read the first paragraph: What if the same movie was shown to the entire world, and the first person to die was the one who was at the first party? That would be a pretty neat way to end a movie.
