This past month we’ve been enjoying a rare mokena weather – an environment that makes it feel like winter has arrived. There is a lot of fresh snow, heavy rain, and even a few thunderstorms – but we’ve also been blessed with a hot, humid, and comfortable summer in the Seattle area.
This summer, there have been a few storms in our area from time to time but nothing that has really been a factor in our lives. Weve been enjoying a bit of warmth, good weather, and a cool change in the seasons, so it’s not too bad.

Sure, but I wonder how warm things are outside in your own house. My dad used to let his dogs come out for a walk and I used to love to just stay inside. Now I only get out for 15 minutes or so at a time and I have to be really careful.
The reason for this is that we haven’t been able to watch the weather report because there’s no weather forecast that we can use on our TV or listen to the news. It’s nice to know what the weather is like because it’s always interesting to listen to a live weather report, but listening to the news has become a little more difficult and I find it difficult to believe that the weather forecast is even half true.
Yes, we’ve really been having a lot of trouble with the weather. As of today, it is nearly impossible to get outside for more than a few minutes at a time. The only real option is the elevator to the top of the tallest building on the planet or to get on a helicopter. Neither of those options are very appealing.
If we can’t get outside to get to the top of the tower or if we can’t get to the top of the tower, we are simply stuck in a situation where everything is pretty much on autopilot. Every now and then, we see a little something moving, but if the weather is terrible, that’s fine too.
If we can get to the top of the building, the sun comes out. We can stay out here and bask in the sun. If we can get to the top of the building, we go to work. If we cant get to the top of the building, we go to bed.
The problem with this is that if you get to the top of the building and are stuck there, it’s pretty much on autopilot. You can do nothing. If you are lucky, you get to a place where you can rest. If you are unlucky, you get to a place where you stay because you have to go. Even if you are able to get to the top of the building and you can stay there, it’s still pretty much on autopilot.
It’s like the old adage, “If you are in the middle of a construction project, you are in the middle of a construction project.” You have to get to the top of the building, so you don’t have time to do anything else. However, once you get there and you have to go, it’s not really a problem.
