Japan has one of the most consistent and reliable rice supplies in the world. It’s good news for the rest of the world, but we’re not sure how that affects us directly. We’re hoping to get some more information soon.
Rice is the backbone of most rice production in Japan, but by the time we’ve found out about the exact price of rice we might have a better idea of what to expect. The news is that there are over 5 million dollars in the country’s rice harvest, counting as a whopping 150,000 dollars.
The most likely effect of this on us is that we will now have to pay more for rice. But what exactly does that mean? And how much will we pay for rice. We don’t know yet, but we’ll find out soon enough when rice prices start to soar.
I like rice, and I like rice futures. I like the idea that rice production has been so good in Japan that we are now paying the price for it. The question is, how much will it cost us to eat rice now. The news is that we should expect to pay $2.50 for a kilo, but expect to pay much more for the quality of the rice.
