The site features the same idea as our own ForeverHolidays.com but I don’t know anyone who would call this a wedding site. The site’s owner describes this as “a way to order flowers and make them last forever.” I think this is the perfect type of piece of jewelry for a couple who wants to remember their anniversary, because they can keep it for the rest of eternity.
This idea of remembering an anniversary (which is actually just an anniversary of something that happened in the past) is so common that it deserves a discussion of its own. The idea of remembering something that happened at a specific time, in a specific place, and in a specific way is a common occurrence. This applies to a lot of things, and the notion of keeping something alive for the rest of your life deserves a bit more emphasis.
This is one of my favorite things about weddings these days. I love the idea of your guests having to remember all the details of your wedding, which is really what it’s all about.
The problem is that people are often too busy with the day’s activities to remember their own, or sometimes forget about it entirely. The idea of a wedding as remembering, is something that I think is important for people to realize, and perhaps even to appreciate more, as the idea of a wedding as a fun, silly, and romantic activity is increasingly more popular.
I was talking to my friends about this this week. They noted that most people are too busy with their day to get involved in remembering the details of their wedding, and so they forget about it entirely. But I think that it’s important to remind people that they do remember their wedding, and that they do have a sense of it. At the very least, it’s important that your guests remember to put their own names on the flowers.
I have a friend who is a ‘fun bride’ on my wedding day. She just got married to a man and he’s a very nice guy. He’s very easy going, and he’s a little bit of a flirt, so she’s very happy. But the wedding is just the first week, and she’s still struggling to get the wedding reception out there.
