A wedding is a big event and the thought of sharing those moments with anyone that will read this blog in the future is going to be a big deal. It’s a great time to do sweet things, but it’s also a great time to do something special for your significant other. One way to do so is with these fresh, homemade wedding sugar cookies.
My partner and I have wanted to do something together for a long time, but a few years ago we had a serious disagreement about the direction and goals of our relationship. We both agreed that we wanted to end up together, but not how. We both realized that we wanted to do something special for our wedding ceremony. So we decided to make a wedding-themed cookie for our anniversary.
First we tried to find a recipe for a cookie with fruit in it. But no matter what we try, the fruit always turns out weird. Our test recipe turned out to be a very good fruit cake, which was very tasty. But we didn’t realize we had made a mistake until we realized the cake was too sweet. We didn’t have enough candied fruit to make a really good dessert, so we made a few extra.
This is, admittedly, a bit of a waste for the cookie, but it’s a perfect addition to the cake. We just have to make sure it’s not too sweet. Also, that’s the only thing we can think of that makes the cookie too sweet. It’s a very important distinction, and it may be a big deal for people who plan weddings.
Yes, its a big deal, and there is a huge difference between a wedding cookie and a wedding dessert. The cookie is meant to be eaten as a dessert, but its meant to be eaten when the wedding cake is ready. If they want to make sure the cookie is still warm, they simply refrigerate them, and they are perfect warm. But if they want to make sure the cake is still hot, they just throw them into the oven.
At least that’s the way I’ve heard it. I don’t know about you, but I’m not one of those people who likes to eat my wedding cake first. There is always some leftover bits that I’m not quite sure if I really want to eat or if I’m just going to be too sick to eat it. Sometimes I just have a hard time believing that someone would want to eat the whole thing before a wedding reception.
I guess you could make the argument that the whole idea of the wedding is to spend time together, be intimate, and enjoy each other’s company. That’s a pretty good reason to eat your cake on the day you are getting married. But I think there’s a bigger issue to address.
The cake itself is a simple white layer of icing, frosted with a chocolate layer of icing. I would rather have a cake that tastes more like the real thing. I think you could make a good case that wedding cakes should be the same day as the wedding. But I have to say that Im not a huge fan of the icing. Its not a bad icing when you actually take a bite.
It’s not a bad icing, I just find it just plain bland. It’s actually a good icing when you use it to flavor the actual cake. My issue with icing is it tends to get a little cakey over time and I’m not sure why. I think sometimes it is just because it is just plain icing.
The icing needs to be just a little bit sweet so that the cake is actually enjoyable to eat. If it becomes a little stale after the first bite then it is still tasty, but it should not be too sweet.
