I’ve heard it said that you can get married in the woods, but you can never get married in the woods. That may be true, but it is also true that the woods can be a very romantic location, and you can get married and stay married there. I’ve been married and lived in the woods for 17 years, and I’ve had my share of honeymoons and weddings in the woods. I’ve even had my wedding ring changed there.
When I think of the woods as a wedding location, I think of my wedding ring. It is a black diamond with a ruby center. Ive worn it for over a decade, but Ive never thought it was the most romantic ring in the world. When I was married I had a ring that had a rose-cut diamond with a sapphire center. That ring was the most romantic ring in the world, and my wife still wears that ring.
If we don’t have any more of those in our lives, we should.
I’m not going to lie to you. I was getting a little paranoid about the prospect of getting a diamond ring from a bride. The only reason I bought the ring was because it was the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen. And I’m going to say that the sapphire and the rose cut are the most unique to me.
