One of my favorite things to do with my kids is to have them collect leaves off the ground and cut them into bouquets and wreaths while making a daisy-like wedding wreath. To do this with my little ones, I found an online tutorial that went through the steps of making this beautiful flower and wreath. Although it was very simple, I was so proud of my little ones for being so creative and putting their individual spin on it.
It was a little bit of a task to get them to do this but I also think it is super cute.
The tutorial is very simple and is definitely not the best way to do this. I was very proud of my kids for not only finding the steps on an online tutorial but also taking the time to make a flower and wreath as a thank you for helping them. They didn’t mind at all because they loved it and told me they were surprised they were so good at it.
I’m not sure if the kids were really surprised with how good they were at it but they were still happy. But it was a lot of work for such a small flower and wreath and I don’t think the kids were really expecting them to be that good.
The more I think about it, the less I want to make wedding flowers using flowers and wreaths. It might be nice to just have a bouquet of flowers that are edible, so they can eat them, but not to make a flower with wreath attached.
I guess I should have known better than to expect them to be that good at making an edible flower wreath. I mean I really expected them to have trouble with it because I was the one who asked them. My daughter was excited to make it for the first time, so I wasn’t too surprised when she didn’t make as good of a job as I thought she would. I’ll just make it all with pretty paper and cut it on the computer.
The thing is, if you are a guest at a wedding, you are responsible for bringing a flower. You bring your own wreath. You can ask them to make one for you if you want. Unfortunately, the wreath you make is the wreath that they make, not a wreath they make. So they will make an awful wreath out of paper that is way too thick and will not be able to be cut with scissors.
In other words, this is not a real flower, this is just a fake flower. But it is the best fake flower I have ever seen. It’s a “daisy wedding boquet” made of paper. It’s not quite the same kind of artificial flower that you see at the wedding, but it is a fun and creative solution to a problem.
What is the problem? The problem is that the flower is too thick. But we’re not talking about the problem of making a too-thick-for-scissors flower. The problem is that the flower is too beautiful. In fact, it is the most beautiful flower I have ever seen. So if someone wants to make artful, attractive flowers that look like this, they are making a ridiculous mistake.
