The last time I wore these heels the summer before college, they were a little hot. But they were still fabulous, so I wore them again for my wedding. I’m still in love with the color, and I have no plans to return to the hot days of summer to wear them.
It looks like they’re made from the same material as the new red carpet shoes from last year. Or the new red carpet shoes from this year. Or both. Because it’s just so much fun to see them on different people’s feet all in the same colors. And they’re just as hot as the hot days of summer.
Im still in love with the navy heels. I think it is that hotness and heat that they bring to the wedding. It has definitely made it the most memorable engagement ceremony Ive ever been to. I can just picture the bride and groom walking down the aisle in their hot heels and wedding rings.

When my dad was growing up we always had a really large, heavy, double-sided mirror in our home. It was the size of a book and it didn’t exactly make seeing in the dark easier, but it was the closest thing we had to a “mirror” so we could see if we were being watched. It’s actually been in my house as long as I can remember and now the mirror is in the new apartment too.
I dont know why, but a couple of things suddenly came together to make this an essential item in my wardrobe. One, the mirror is super cheap, so I can afford it. Two, it’s one of those things that makes you feel like youre in a movie and its a small role but its a part you’re invested in. Its a bit like me and my dad in that we were married in a movie to be honest.

I spent over a year living my life on a beach and then suddenly my dad calls and tells me to go to the airport and fly back to Australia. I was like ugh, what? Where am I? I do not even remember making the flight! I was like, ugh, this is bad. I am not in the movie! And now the mirror. Im gonna have to do this.
