I think about this a lot. It’s a fact: in life, we are all like reporters of stories. We are all tasked with finding the story, telling it, and then moving on to the next.
But what about when the story isn’t so interesting? What happens when the story isn’t compelling or good? Do we then become uninterested in the story and forget about it? If we are just interested in the story and the story is interesting, then we won’t care about the reporter’s music. We might continue to listen to the music, but we are still absorbed in the story.
Of course, we can all change our tune when the story has been interesting and compelling, and I think the music in Deathloop is great. But still.
The story is not a huge deal, as with most of the stuff that appears in trailers, but the music is pretty great. The album is called “Mourning the loss of a friend.” It is a collection of classic rock songs that range from the Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There” to the Oasis’ “She Will Be Loved.” I can’t wait to hear it.
