The v5 is one of the few Intel processors that have had the v4 processor’s support updated to v5. The E3-1255 v5 features four cores that are clocked at 3.2 GHz, two threads, and eight GB of RAM.
As with most of the other Raspberry Pi models we’ve seen, the E3-1255 v5 is available for purchase with both 1GB and 2GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. The specs include a single USB2.0 port, an HDMI port, and a VGA port for video output. All of the memory options come with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
So how can you make a 4-core E3-1255 v5 4GB RAM computer? You can do it by buying a 32GB SD card. Or if you need more memory for your Pi, you can buy a 32GB SD card for a whopping $80.
The Raspberry Pi 2 and 2B are both based on the E3-1250, but they are different in their architecture. The Raspberry Pi 2 is the Pi2, and the Raspberry Pi 2B is the Pi2B. Both are based on the same E3-1250 chip, and both are identical in the way they handle the boot process. The problem with the Raspberry Pi 2 is that it’s only 4GB of RAM.
