It’s a well known fact that South Korea has one of the highest rates of infection in the world, causing many, including me, to wonder why this country isn’t better prepared. I think it is because South Korea is a small country and the world is a much smaller place. The world isn’t all that big, and South Korea, especially, is a tiny nation.
So why would you want to visit a small nation which has only three hours of daylight? Well, because the small nation is currently dealing with a massive outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus. The worst part, though, is that they are in quarantine until it is safe to come back to the country. This quarantine is going on now, but the majority of the people in quarantine are sick and dying and the government does nothing except let the situation fester.
One of the biggest fears about Ebola is that you will get it after you’ve arrived. That is why the majority of travelers to the US and other countries have been staying in quarantine for two weeks while the situation is getting worse. The US does not let any sick people leave the country if they have Ebola because they don’t want to allow the spread of the disease. If you have a fever or are showing symptoms, the US will quarantine you.
In South Korea, people are allowed to leave the country if they have Ebola. However, the government is allowing large numbers of the sickest people to stay home because the government doesn’t want the spread of the disease. Of course, the people the government should be worried about are the doctors who have given out the wrong meds. Because the government has no idea what is causing the spread of the disease, they are ignoring the meds prescribed by the doctors.
The problem here is that the government is not allowed to be wrong. The government has to follow the guidelines of the WHO, but it doesnt have the authority to do so. But the government doesnt think that it has the authority to be wrong. How does the government know that it doesnt have the authority to be wrong? Because the government decided to quarantine hundreds of people who should not be quarantined.
The government needs to take the lead in quarantining people and quarantine them in the first place. The government should also ban the use of the words ‘quarantine’ and ‘quarantines’. The government should be careful about using these terms in its language as they can cause panic and people to believe that their government is not doing something.
I hope the government take the lead and quarantine people who should not be quarantined. That would be great.
