I’m not going to lie, I’m a little bit worried about what I’ll find in these obituaries for the rest of the springfield news leader staff. I’m afraid I’ll find a lot of people who are so entrenched in their habits and traditions that they might not be willing to change any of it anymore.
The Springfield news leader board is something of a lost cause. Unlike the real news orgs in Chicago and Minneapolis, it’s not like there’s a ton of news being written or produced in that town. I know that I’ve run into a number of people who just don’t seem to care, but that’s only one of the reasons for its decline.

I don’t know why Ill run into some of the other reporters who have been in the news for over 20 years but Ill know that the news is now the place where the real news happens.
I believe that this is a good thing because it keeps the news real. When I visited the springfield news leader board back in 2008 I was surprised to see how much the news has changed over the years. In the beginning there were people who were just curious about local news and the news were great. Nowadays, they are just another newsy place which is fine, but there is also a time and place for the real news.
I think we are seeing this with the obituaries. These people who are writing obituaries are writing about the real people who have passed away, the real events that have happened in their lives. Not just passing away, but just as real as anything else in life.
I remember reading an article that was a very sad one recently. It was about a young woman who was recently found dead in a car accident. The article went on to say that she was a girl who was 16 or 17 years old, but it wasn’t really clear because she had been dead for years. But I remember thinking that the fact she had been dead for so long made her seem like a young person, not just a young girl.
That’s so true. It’s hard to believe that life can be so short, and yet so long, and that people would go on with their lives so long. The fact that death has such a long incubation period does make it seem a bit more real.
People die, and they come back to life, and after a while the difference between the two is that you can recognize the person you thought you knew and the person you do not. After a while the difference between the two stops being that obvious and becomes more so. If you can’t identify who you were with and who you are now, you are in the “I am not who I was with” camp.
This is the first time that we’ve tried to make such a connection. It was clear that the group has a lot of personality in the group, but they are really trying to be useful members of the group.
The purpose is to make the group useful for the group, but the purpose is as important as the topic. The purpose is to make the group useful for the community, but the purpose is to make the community useful for the group itself.
